MILITARY DRONE CRASHES IN KONTAGORA FOREST, NIGER STATE AMID ONGOING OPERATIONS

Kontagora Forest, Niger State, Nigeria – A military combat drone belonging to the Nigerian armed forces has crashed in the Kontagora Forest area of Niger State, raising questions about aerial operations in the region.

The unmanned aerial vehicle went down on Friday under circumstances that remain unclear, according to eyewitness reports and photos showing the drone badly damaged but without any sign of explosion at the crash site.

At the time of filing this report, neither the Nigerian military nor the Niger State Government has issued an official statement on the incident, and details on the origin of the drone’s mission or the cause of the crash have not been confirmed.

The development comes amid heightened security activity in the region, where military surveillance and counter-insurgency operations have been ongoing.

Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations to determine what led to the crash and will provide updates once official information becomes available.
