The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Gombe State has announced that two corps members will be required to repeat their one-year national service, while two others have been given service extensions.
According to the State Coordinator, the disciplinary action followed cases of misconduct and violations of NYSC rules during their service year.
The affected corps members were sanctioned after appearing before the NYSC disciplinary committee, in line with the scheme’s regulations governing attendance, conduct, and commitment to their places of primary assignment.
The NYSC emphasized that while the programme rewards diligence and good performance, it also enforces strict disciplinary measures to maintain order and accountability among participants.
Officials further urged corps members to remain disciplined and adhere strictly to the rules of the scheme throughout their service year.
