Hundreds of suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters have reportedly gathered to observe Eid prayers in the Lake Chad region of Borno State, following recent bomb attacks in Maiduguri.
The development was reported through a series of multimedia clips allegedly released by the propaganda platform, Az-Zallaqa, which is linked to the insurgent groups.

According to the footage, the large gathering took place in remote areas around Lake Chad, believed to be strongholds of the militants.

Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement regarding the claims, but efforts are said to be ongoing to monitor the situation and prevent further attacks in the region.
