Armed terrorists attacked a community in Niger State on Tuesday, abducting a prominent lawyer and several other residents.
The gunmen were said to have invaded the area in large numbers during Nigeria’s Independence Day celebrations, shooting sporadically before whisking away their victims.
Local sources confirmed the incident, noting that the attack has thrown the community into panic. As of press time, security agencies had not released an official statement on the abduction.
