Tension broke out on Friday at the National Assembly complex in Abuja as protesting civil servants clashed with the Minister of State for Labour and Employment.
The workers, who were demonstrating against alleged poor welfare and unresolved labour issues, stormed the premises, chanting solidarity songs and demanding immediate government intervention.
The situation escalated when the minister attempted to address the crowd, sparking a heated confrontation that drew the attention of security operatives.
Normal legislative activities were briefly disrupted as lawmakers and staff were forced to navigate the tense atmosphere.Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
