
Panic erupted near Plateau State Polytechnic following a fresh outbreak of violence in which gunmen reportedly killed two persons in the area.
According to reports, the attack triggered fear among students, who fled the area in large numbers to seek safety as the situation unfolded. Eyewitness accounts indicate that the assailants struck suddenly, causing chaos and disrupting normal academic activities.
Security agencies are yet to release an official statement on the incident, while efforts to restore calm in the area are said to be ongoing.
The development adds to growing security concerns in the region, as residents and students remain on edge over recurring attacks.
