FCT Police Probe Death of Pregnant Woman Following Altercation

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has commenced an investigation into the death of a heavily pregnant woman, identified as Alice, following a physical altercation with another woman, Grace Kasimu, in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to preliminary police findings, the incident occurred on May 31. Alice reportedly developed complications after the confrontation and began bleeding. She was rushed to Wuse General Hospital, where medical personnel later confirmed her death.

Confirming the development, police spokesperson Josephine Adeh said the suspect, Grace Kasimu, has been arrested and is currently in police custody.

She added that investigations are ongoing, while the Commissioner of Police has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and necessary action.
