Barely hours after a court granted bail in connection with allegations filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have reportedly arrested former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
According to RFI Hausa , that El-Rufai said to have been taken into custody over allegations bordering on the interception or disruption of the telephone line of the National Security Adviser’s adviser on security matters, Nuhu Ribadu.
The development comes shortly after the court’s bail ruling, raising fresh concerns over the legal and security dimensions of the case.Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the arrest or the fresh allegations at the time of filing this report.
