The United States Department of Homeland Security has published the names and photographs of 124 Nigerian nationals scheduled for deportation over various criminal convictions.
According to the agency, the affected individuals are among foreign nationals who have completed or are serving sentences for offences committed in the United States and are now subject to removal under the country’s immigration laws.
The publication forms part of ongoing efforts by US authorities to enforce immigration regulations and facilitate the repatriation of foreign nationals found guilty of criminal offences.
The development comes amid continued cooperation between the United States and Nigeria on immigration and consular matters relating to the return of deported citizens.
