University of Jos, OPay Launch ₦1.2bn Decade-Long Scholarship Programme

The University of Jos has partnered with financial technology company OPay to establish a ₦1.2 billion scholarship programme aimed at supporting students over the next ten years.

The initiative, designed to enhance access to quality education, will provide financial assistance to deserving students at the university.


The partnership underscores OPay’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and educational development in Nigeria. According to the agreement, the programme will fund tuition and other academic expenses for selected students, fostering academic excellence and reducing financial barriers.
