President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) across Nigeria to adopt a fully digital system of operation and phase out the use of paper documents in government activities.
According to reports by Daily Nigerian, the President gave the directive while speaking at the opening ceremony of the International Civil Service Conference 2026 held in Abuja.
Tinubu said the move is part of efforts to modernise Nigeria’s public service through the use of digital technology, improve efficiency, and strengthen service delivery across government institutions.
The President also urged civil servants and government agencies to embrace innovation and technology-driven systems in line with global standards for modern governance.
