The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, has directed that an apology be issued to Eyo Ekpe and members of the Nigerian Medical Association following a controversial raid involving EFCC operatives.
In a statement released on Monday, the commission said the directive came after reviewing a preliminary report on the May 12, 2026 incident involving its personnel and medical staff of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
The EFCC noted that the matter is being examined further as part of ongoing internal processes.
