Boko Haram Fighters Kill Eight in Fresh Attack on Borno Community

BORNO STATE, Nigeria — Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have killed eight people in a new attack on Warabe, a community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

Local sources said the attackers stormed the village at night, causing residents to flee as gunmen opened fire. Security operatives have since been deployed to the area, while search efforts continue.

The incident adds to a series of recent assaults attributed to the extremist group, which has remained active in parts of Borno despite ongoing military operations.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, but community members report heightened tension as residents fear further attacks.
