Ammunition Spills From Moving Bus, Causes Panic at ABU Zaria Gate

A brief moment of panic was reported at the main gate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, after several rounds of ammunition were said to have fallen from a moving passenger bus along the Zaria–Katsina highway.

A video published on X by counter-terrorism outlet Zagazola Makama showed the incident occurring directly in front of the university gate on Tuesday, prompting concern among pedestrians and motorists.

According to the publication, an eyewitness identified as Musa said the ammunition appeared to have dropped from a commercial vehicle travelling towards Katsina.

“We just saw the bullets fall from the bus as it drove past. Before anyone could react or understand what happened, the vehicle was already gone,” he reportedly said.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
