Some political supporters in Adamawa State have suggested that the emergence of Ahmed Tijjani Galadima as the APC governorship candidate could strengthen the chances of Labour Party’s Senator Ishaku Abbo ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
According to them, developments within the APC following the primary election may influence voter behaviour and weaken the ruling party’s support base in certain areas of the state.
They argued that any internal disagreement or dissatisfaction among APC members could create an opportunity for opposition candidates, particularly Ishaku Abbo, to attract wider support.
However, other supporters believe Galadima’s emergence will instead unite the APC and position the party strongly for the 2027 governorship contest.
Political observers say attention is now focused on how the outcome of the APC primary election will shape the political landscape ahead of the governorship race in Adamawa State.
