A close associate of former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has reportedly defected to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s New Democratic Congress (NDC), where he also obtained nomination forms to contest for the House of Representatives seat in Kano State.
The development marks a notable political shift within Kano’s evolving political landscape, as key figures continue to realign ahead of future elections.
Sources say the politician, once aligned with the APC bloc loyal to Ganduje, has now joined Kwankwaso’s political structure and is seeking electoral office under the new platform.
The move is seen as part of ongoing defections and coalition-building among major political camps in Kano State.
