The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has assured diplomats in Abuja that the government will keep working to create a good environment for them to do their jobs, especially when it comes to safety.
The minister, who was speaking at the European Union Complex in Abuja during the Saint Patrick’s Day Reception and the official opening of the new Ireland Embassy on Wednesday, promised that the government led by President Bola Tinubu is working hard to make Abuja look like other major capital cities around the world.
The event had the Republic of Ireland’s Minister of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, Mr Jack Chamber, and the country’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Peter Ryan, and other diplomats in attendance.
