President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting the confirmation of a new Chairman for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The letter, which was read on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday, was addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Although details of the nominee were not immediately disclosed, the correspondence marks the beginning of the confirmation process for the electoral body’s leadership.
