Ipalibo Harry Banigo has reacted after the All Progressives Congress reportedly disqualified her from contesting for the Rivers West Senatorial seat under the party’s platform.
Banigo, who previously served as deputy governor under Nyesom Wike and currently represents Rivers West Senatorial District, described the development as shocking, especially as several other prominent politicians were also reportedly denied clearance.
The senator appealed to Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the matter, insisting that the process should be fair and transparent for all aspirants.
The development has continued to generate reactions among political observers and party supporters in Rivers State ahead of the elections.
