POLICE BARRICADE VENUE AS PDP FACTION MOVES TO RATIFY JONATHAN AS 2027 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

Police officers on Saturday blocked access roads leading to the A-Class Park and Event Centre in Abuja, the planned venue for a special convention where a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) intended to ratify former President Goodluck Jonathan as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

The convention was organized by a PDP faction led by Kabiru Turaki, which had scheduled the event for Saturday to formally endorse Jonathan ahead of the 2027 polls.

Security operatives reportedly mounted barricades around the area, preventing delegates and participants from gaining entry into the venue.
