Operatives of the Ogun State police command have apprehended 15 individuals for violating environmental regulations in Ifo local government area of the state.
The arrests were made during the command’s ongoing “Operation No Traffic Gridlock’ in the Abekoko and Old Bank axis along the Abeokuta, Lagos Expressway.
Spokesperson of the command, Babaseyi Oluseyi, in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday, said the operation was aimed at ensuring the free flow of traffic and maintaining public order across the state.
He said the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
Babaseyi stated that the enforcement also saw the removal of several obstructions such as planks, trucks, shanties, and wares, from major roadways.
