A disturbing incident has occurred in Tashar Aibo, Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, where a young man, Dan Gaske Mai Masara, died following injuries he reportedly sustained during a domestic dispute just three days after his wedding.
According to accounts shared by residents, including the victim’s neighbour, Gwagwaren Jibia, the man got married on Thursday, November 18, 2025. However, on Sunday, November 23, he was said to have suffered serious injuries while asleep, with suspicion directed at his wife. He later passed away as a result of the injuries.
The development has reignited discussions about rising cases of domestic violence between couples, an issue security analysts say is becoming more frequent in parts of the country. Legal experts are also calling for thorough investigations and stricter enforcement of laws to deter such attacks.
The Katsina State Police Command has yet to issue detailed information on the situation as investigations continue.
