The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed that a potential disaster was successfully prevented following a fuel tanker crash at the NEPA Roundabout in Kaduna State.
According to officials, the incident occurred when a tanker loaded with fuel lost control and crashed along the busy route. Emergency responders from the FRSC swiftly arrived at the scene and took immediate action to secure the area.
Their prompt intervention helped prevent fuel spillage from escalating into a fire outbreak or explosion. As a result, no casualties were recorded, and nearby residents and motorists were protected from possible harm.
The FRSC also worked with other security agencies to control traffic and ensure public safety while recovery operations were carried out.
Authorities have commended the rapid response of the rescue team and urged motorists to continue observing road safety regulations to prevent similar incidents.
