Akpabio Sues Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for ₦200 Billion Over Alleged Defamation

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has filed a ₦200 billion defamation lawsuit against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, accusing her of making statements that allegedly damaged his reputation.

According to the suit, Akpabio claims that Natasha made remarks which he considers false, misleading, and capable of tarnishing his public image and integrity. The Senate President is asking the court to award ₦200 billion as compensation for what he describes as reputational harm.

The legal action follows recent exchanges between both lawmakers, with Akpabio insisting that Natasha’s comments were made with malicious intent. The lawsuit seeks not only financial damages but also a retraction and an apology from her.

Senator Natasha has not yet issued an official response to the claims at the time of this report.
