Thai authorities have arrested a suspected drug dealer during a public street dance festival after officers carried out a covert operation involving five policemen and a woman disguised as stylish female performers.
The suspect, identified as Mekha Fa-wap-wap, was reportedly apprehended in the middle of the festivities after officers blended into the crowd to avoid detection.
During the arrest, police recovered more than 53 methamphetamine tablets along with around 200 plastic bags allegedly intended for packaging and distributing illegal drugs.
Authorities say the man is now facing charges related to possession of Category 1 narcotics with intent to sell, as well as involvement in operating an unlawful online gambling platform.
