The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old woman, identified as Bina, for allegedly stabbing her live-in partner, 34, to death.
The incident occurred after a reported domestic dispute in which the deceased allegedly assaulted her. During the altercation, Bina was said to have picked up a knife from the kitchen and stabbed him in the chest.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from the injuries.Police confirmed that the suspect and the deceased had been cohabiting since she was 17 and had two children together, aged one and three.
Authorities have commenced investigations into the matter while the suspect remains in custody.
