The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kano Zonal Directorate, has taken Kannywood actress Samha Inuwa into custody over an alleged act of Naira mutilation.
Her arrest on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, followed a viral video circulating on social media in which she was seen cleaning mucus from her nose with Naira notes.
Following the video’s release, the Commission reportedly swung into action, traced the actress, and arrested her for questioning.
She is currently being detained at the Commission’s facility in Kano while investigations continue. EFCC officials confirmed that she would be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded.
