A total of 42 students have reportedly been abducted following a violent attack on Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in the Askira/Uba area of Borno State.
According to Senator Ali Ndume, suspected terrorists believed to be linked to Boko Haram stormed the school during the incident, forcing the students into captivity.
The attack has triggered fresh concerns over school safety in the region, as authorities continue efforts to verify details and respond to the situation.
Security agencies are expected to launch rescue operations as investigations into the assault continue.
