
A young man identified as Ebenezer Frimpong has been arrested after allegedly driving off with a police armoured vehicle that had been left unattended while its driver went to purchase medicine at a nearby pharmacy.
According to reports, the police officer had briefly parked the armoured vehicle and stepped into a chemist to buy medication. During that time, Frimpong allegedly entered the vehicle, started it, and drove away.
The incident triggered a swift response from law enforcement officers, who launched a pursuit and eventually intercepted the vehicle before arresting the suspect. No injuries were reported during the incident, and the armoured vehicle was successfully recovered.
Authorities have since taken Frimpong into custody and opened an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, including how he managed to gain access to and operate the heavily protected vehicle.
