BREAKING: DSS Drags Sowore, Meta, X to Court Over Anti-Tinubu Post

The Department of State Services (DSS) has filed a lawsuit against activist Omoyele Sowore, alongside social media giants Meta (owners of Facebook and Instagram) and X (formerly Twitter), over a publication described as “anti-Tinubu.”

According to the suit, the DSS alleges that Sowore used the platforms to disseminate content aimed at discrediting President Bola Tinubu, and holds the companies liable for allowing the material to be published.

Details of the case are still emerging, but the development marks a fresh clash between Nigeria’s security agency, opposition voices, and global tech firms over freedom of expression and regulation of online content.
