The Katsina State Government has unveiled plans to provide business assistance, industrial tools, and housing for repentant bandits as part of its social reintegration programme.
Governor Dikko Radda disclosed this during a high-level consultation on security, governance, and development, according to a statement signed by Commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr. Bala Zango, and the Director-General of Media, Maiwada Dammallam.
The governor also confirmed the allocation of 152 houses to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Jibia Local Government Area, along with the distribution of cattle and other support packages to aid livelihood recovery.Radda highlighted his administration’s priorities in security, education, agriculture, health, MSME support, and revenue generation.
Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal-Jobe added that the “Building Your Future” policy had already created 35,903 jobs, while major projects in road construction, school rehabilitation, health centre upgrades, and power development were ongoing across the state.
