2027: Amaechi submits presidential nomination form

Former Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, has officially submitted his presidential nomination form.

Amaechi submitted the form on Thursday at the National Secretariat of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Abuja ahead of the 2027 Presidential Election.

This comes after two heavyweights of the party and former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso, left for the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, citing internal political wranglings and court cases.

this is the second time Amaechi is contesting the presidential election. He contested in 2023 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, but lost out in the primary to President Bola Tinubu.
