A tragic domestic incident claimed the life of Lieutenant Dr. Samson Haruna on September 22, 2025, at Wellington Bassey Barracks in Ibagwa, Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
According to reports, Haruna’s wife allegedly poured petrol on him and set him on fire during a domestic dispute. Despite being rushed to the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
Sources revealed that the couple had only been married since April 2025. The accused wife has been taken into custody as authorities continue their investigations.
