FG Opens Diplomatic Talks With U.S. Over Visa Restrictions on Nigerians

The Federal Government has confirmed that it is engaging the United States authorities over recent visa restrictions imposed on Nigerian citizens.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussions are ongoing through diplomatic channels to address the concerns that led to the decision and to seek a possible review of the policy. The government noted that the engagement is aimed at protecting the interests of Nigerians affected by the visa limitations.

Officials stressed that visa policies remain the sovereign right of each country but expressed optimism that continued dialogue would lead to a mutually beneficial outcome for both nations. The ministry also clarified that Nigeria is not the only country impacted by the U.S. action.

The Federal Government urged Nigerians to remain calm as consultations continue, assuring that efforts are being made to resolve the issue through constructive diplomatic engagement.
