The Borno State Government has set aside ₦150 million in its 2026 budget to feed sheep and goats housed within the Government House complex, according to the state’s approved budget estimates.
The budget item, listed under Government House expenditures, is described as “General purchase of feeding for various sheep and goat within the Government House.” A breakdown of the allocation suggests the animals’ feed would average about ₦410,958 per day and roughly ₦2.8 million per week, though the document did not reveal the exact number of livestock involved.
In addition to the feeding budget for livestock, the Borno government also plans to spend ₦50 million on kitchen equipment for use within the Government House.
