A woman who recently underwent an appendectomy has reportedly suffered serious complications, prompting her transfer to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo, where medical personnel confirmed that one of her kidneys had been removed.
Following the development, the woman’s husband and the medical doctor allegedly involved have gone into hiding, raising serious concerns and public outrage over the incident.
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) and Head of the Complaints Response Unit of the Adamawa State Police Command said an investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the case.
