Apapa Customs Command Generates ₦3.7 Trillion in 15 Months

Lagos, Nigeria – The Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has generated ₦3.7 trillion in revenue over a 15-month period, covering May 2024 to July 2025.

During this period, the command seized 75 contraband shipments, including illegal firearms, expired drugs, counterfeit pharmaceuticals, and banned substances such as codeine and tramadol. Among the notable seizures were 60 warrior drones and 53 helicopter drones lacking valid End-User Certificates.

Monthly revenue collections consistently exceeded ₦200 billion, with a peak of ₦269.3 billion recorded in January 2025.

Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, who led the command during this period, has been promoted to Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs.
