At least three people have been confirmed dead while several others sustained injuries following a tragic road accident at Sabuwar Mile 3 area of Gombe State.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred after a trailer reportedly travelling from Taraba State allegedly suffered brake failure, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The out-of-control trailer reportedly rammed into several vehicles, roadside shops, and pedestrians, leading to massive destruction in the area.
Sources at the scene said no fewer than seven persons were affected by the crash, with three victims said to have died instantly, while others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Residents and emergency responders were seen rushing to the scene to rescue victims and provide emergency assistance as efforts continued to clear the wreckage.
