
Armed attackers stormed a rural village in Igbo Ofe Ora, near Oke-Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, around 11 a.m. on Monday, the family of victims told a local media outlet.
The assailants abducted a housewife identified as “Rukayat,” while her brother-in-law, Abdulateef, was shot as he rode into the village on a motorcycle; he is currently receiving medical care after being moved from a public hospital to a private facility due to a staff strike.
After fleeing with their hostage, the armed men reportedly contacted the family and demanded a ransom of ₦100 million for her release.
As of the latest report, no official comment has been issued by security agencies, and residents in the community remain on edge.
