“I Won’t Abort My Baby”: Abuja Mother of Four Hospitalised After Domestic Dispute

In Ushafa, Abuja, a mother of four, Mrs Charity Olotu Fasasi, is battling for survival after allegedly being assaulted by her husband, David Fasasi Azeez, during a quarrel over her pregnancy.

According to neighbours, the victim had informed her husband that she was expecting another child, but he insisted that she terminate it. When she refused, the argument reportedly escalated into violence, leaving her in critical condition.

“She told him she wouldn’t abort the baby, and that was when he got angry. This is not the first time he has beaten her,” one neighbour said, describing years of alleged abuse the woman has endured silently.

The suspect is currently on the run, while police say the matter has been reported to the Ushafa Division for investigation.
