Senate Lifts Restrictions, Reopens Natasha’s Office in Abuja

The Nigerian Senate has lifted its earlier restrictions on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, reopening her office and restoring her access to the National Assembly complex in Abuja.

The Kogi Central lawmaker had previously been suspended, with her office sealed and entry into the premises denied as part of the disciplinary measures.

However, in a new decision, the Senate moved to unseal her office, effectively allowing her to return to full legislative duties.

The development follows weeks of political and legal pushback, including a court ruling that questioned the legality of barring her from her legislative office.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who maintained that her suspension did not deter her from serving her constituents, is expected to resume active participation in Senate sessions and committee engagements.
