The Presidency has accused Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi Matthew of forging official government appointment letters and other documents while falsely presenting himself as the Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), agencies it insists do not exist.
According to the Presidency, investigations revealed that Adeyemi allegedly used falsified government documents, forged signatures, official seals, and reference numbers to create the impression that he had been legitimately appointed to head the fictitious agencies. Authorities also alleged that he represented the organisations as official government bodies in dealings with both local and foreign stakeholders.
The government further stated that the matter is already before the court, with Adeyemi facing charges including alleged forgery, impersonation, and obtaining by false pretence. The Presidency urged members of the public to disregard any claims suggesting that the agencies are part of the Federal Government, maintaining that no such appointments were ever made.
