Police Apprehend Suspect in Fatal Strangling of Father in Adamawa, Search Continues for Second Son

Adamawa State police have arrested a 25-year-old man allegedly responsible for strangling his father to death, while authorities continue their search for his younger brother, who remains at large, Sahara Reporters has learned.


The suspect, identified as David ThankGod, was taken into custody in Jalingo, the capital of neighboring Taraba State, the Adamawa State Police Command confirmed.


According to police, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. in the Gwe-da-Mallam area of Numan town. The attack followed a family dispute that had previously been reported to the police.


Law enforcement officials said the investigation is ongoing, and efforts to locate and arrest Joshua ThankGod, the younger brother implicated in the incident, are continuing. Authorities have pledged to bring the remaining suspect to justice.
