President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has vowed that Nigeria will decisively defeat terrorism and maintain its unity, peace, and global relevance.
In a statement issued on Friday, the president said his administration remains steadfast in its mission to protect the nation and uphold the rule of law, stressing that “security is non-negotiable.”
“We face challenges head-on and remain committed to engaging partners and championing Nigeria’s interests on the diplomatic front,” Tinubu said. “We are confidently asserting our presence on the global stage, guided by calm, clarity, and purpose.”
Acknowledging the nation’s long struggle against terrorism, the president pledged that Nigeria would not back down until victory is achieved. He noted that his government has made “significant progress in the past two years” and will continue to intensify efforts to eliminate all forms of criminality.
Tinubu also called on international allies to stand firmly with Nigeria as it strengthens cooperation on security and economic growth.
“Together, we will sustain our reform gains and deliver a prosperous and inclusive Nigeria,” he said.
The president extended gratitude to the nation’s armed forces and intelligence community for their courage and sacrifice, describing them as “the strength of the fight against terror.”
He reaffirmed Nigeria’s role as a “reliable partner and dependable ally” committed to regional stability and global peace.
