Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has revealed that she is open to becoming a second wife, citing limited options in her dating life.
Speaking during an appearance on the U.S. podcast Lip Service, the award-winning singer explained that most of the men who meet her standards are either much older or already married.
“If I meet somebody who can really marry me, they are either in their 50s or already married. So, I don’t know — maybe I can be a second wife. I think so,” Savage said.
She added that if such a situation arose, she would maintain mutual respect with the first wife and avoid unnecessary conflict.
“I think I can go along with the first wife. I’m going to be going on tours, so I won’t really stress you. I’m very respectful; I will accord you that respect,” she added.
The “Somebody’s Son” crooner, who was previously married to music executive Tunji “TBillz” Balogun, finalized her divorce in 2018.
Her comments have since generated wide reactions on social media, with fans debating her openness about relationships and marriage.
