A young engineer from Katsina State, Nigeria, has developed a locally manufactured armored personnel carrier (APC) that is bulletproof and built to support security agencies in tackling armed bandits operating in forest regions.
The innovative vehicle, according to reports, can be remotely operated via a smartphone and is fitted with advanced surveillance technology capable of detecting bandits’ movements in real time.
The inventor disclosed that the APC employs smart recognition systems that analyze and scan individuals’ hand gestures to identify those carrying weapons, thereby distinguishing between armed suspects and civilians.
The vehicle, designed for rugged terrain, can operate autonomously, deliver live intelligence, and even provide tactical support during security operations.
